Afraid? is your tongue TAMED? | The Power of a Praying Woman

We are all afraid of something, even if we never want to admit it. This fear leads to us having anxieties and later on us loosing Christ as the Center of everything in our lives. We so easily forget what Philippians 4:6-7 says; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanks giving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
We then think that we are inadequate before God to use us to minister to others. We forget that He has made us adequate for His glory. Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.
With our tongues we destroy so many people’s lives, bringing destruction and at times we do it so unconsciously because it has become part of us as it is accepted in our society. Job made a declaration in a time of utter despair and says, “My lips will not speak wickedness, and my tongue will utter on deceit.” He made a choice not to speak evil but to speak words that bring life. Job 27:4. Make this your prayer today.
